Where invoices live

Every invoice and receipt is generated by Stripe and stored in your Stripe customer portal. Ominvo doesn't host a separate invoice viewer — that would mean duplicating data, and Stripe's portal is more reliable for the things you actually need (downloading PDFs, updating payment methods, changing billing email).

To open your customer portal:

  1. Sign in to Ominvo
  2. Open your account settings
  3. Click "Manage billing"

You're taken to a Stripe-hosted page where you can view every invoice, download PDFs, and manage payment methods.

Updating your card

Cards can be updated anytime from the customer portal. Click "Update payment method," enter the new card details, save. The change takes effect on your next renewal — Stripe doesn't re-bill the current period.

If your card fails at renewal time, Stripe automatically retries over the next several days. You'll get an email from Stripe each time. If retries fail, your subscription is paused and your account drops to Noob until you update the card and resume.

Changing your billing email

Your billing email is separate from your Ominvo login email. This is useful if you want invoices to go to an accountant or a shared finance inbox.

To change it: customer portal → "Update information" → edit the billing email → save. New invoices go to the new address immediately. Past invoices remain accessible in the portal regardless.

Annual billing

Annual billing isn't available yet. It's on the roadmap — likely with a meaningful discount versus paying monthly — but we want to get the launch through cleanly first before we add a second billing cadence. If you'd specifically pay annually, mention it when you join the waitlist so we can size demand.

Tax and VAT

For US customers, sales tax is calculated automatically by Stripe based on your billing address. The invoice shows the line item.

For international customers, VAT/GST is handled per Stripe's international tax rules. We're a US-based LLC (Wyoming), so VAT is generally collected only where Stripe requires it. The customer portal shows your current tax status and the exact breakdown on each invoice.

Receipts vs invoices

Stripe sends both, automatically, on every successful charge:

  • Receipt — confirmation of payment, sent to your billing email the moment the charge succeeds.
  • Invoice — formal billing document with line items, taxes, and totals. Available as a PDF download from the customer portal.

If you need a custom invoice (specific company name, PO number, or a particular format for your accounting system), email support and we'll generate it from Stripe directly. That goes faster than asking through the portal.
